We
are trying to recover the
irrigation systems imported by the Arabs hundreds of
years ago.
The
“Norias” (translation “wheel”) and their “Balsas” (translation “water
tanks”) that cover the countryside are all falling into disrepair.
We
rebuild these irrigation systems using largely traditional materials and what is
more, we bring them back to their functional life.
You
not only have a marvelous showpiece but it is useful. If you are very lucky and
are fortunate enough to own one of these Norias,
we can restore both it and its
waterways bringing it back to its original glory.
We
have devised a way to redevelop these irrigation systems to meet present needs
using traditional technology.
In
addition, we have thought out a closed circuit system involving the balsas
whereby the balsa is converted into a swimming pool and at the same time acts as
waterstorage for irrigation.
The
great advantage is:
you
have a chlorine free pool and at the same time,
the
irrigation system and pool are integrated into one.
The
therapeutic sound of water will come back to the Ibicencan countryside.
